Quality Assurance Assessor
Jean has been working in the care sector since May 2012, which was a big change from her old career as a Systems Administrator in IT.
She has worked across many of the roles in care, her first post being with Adults with Learning Difficulties (Autism etc) and she then went on to work with Adults with PMLD (Jean tells us that they have the best sense of humour ever).
Jean then worked with children with LD, Autism, Complex Needs and Challenging Behaviour where she said it was amazing playing games and role playing all day with the children, (but tiring) and also children with EBD which was at times challenging, but great fun.
Jean has also been a Foster Carer since 2009 and one of her foster children still lives with her and he is now 24.
Jean first started with Bramble Homecare in August 2016 and is our Quality Assurance Assessor.
Care Coordinator (Worcester)
Timea is our Care Coordinator working with our clients and staff in Worcestershire. She has worked in care since she left university where she was studying to be a social educator. Initially she worked in Hungary for a year working with people with learning difficulties, moving to the UK in 2006. For the first 8 years of living here Timea mostly worked with the elderly but has also continued to work with people with learning difficulties including people with challenging behaviour. In total, Timea has 13 years experience and is has achieved her NVQ levels 2 & 3. She has been with us for nearly one year now and is working towards her NVQ5
Vicky has worked in a range of administrative roles since leaving her hometown of Liverpool 20 years ago. Her last role was working for a company which undertook minor adaptations for the over 50’s living in Gloucestershire, and was her first experience of working in the care sector. After this she decided she wanted a more hands-on role in care which led her to Bramble Homecare!
Applying initially as a carer she then moved quickly into the role of Recruitment Officer. In her words "Each day is a challenge but one that I meet with zest and enthusiasm. Bramble really pride’s itself on being a small family run business and this is evident, you’re not just a number you really do feel that you’re part of a tight knit team. The support from Management and Colleagues gives me the drive and determination to help Bramble grow, something which itself is really exciting to be part of."
Group Manager & Registered Manager (Worcester)
Leanne Bourne has been Manager of our Worcester office since it opened in May 2016. With over 16 years’ experience in care, initially starting as a carer, Leanne is a dedicated and hardworking Manager. She has a breadth of experience within the care sector, having worked not only in Domicillary (home care) settings, but also live in care and in a Learning Disability Care Home. Currently undertaking Level 5 NVQ in Health & Social Care.
